NHS Violence Reduction Academy Symposium 5th November 2026

The NHS Violence Reduction Academy is pleased to invite submissions for our 2026 conference, which will take place on the 5th November in London.

Submissions are open from Monday 7th September and will remain open until Friday 18th September.

The theme of this year's symposium is Critical Trajectories, where we aim to explore the intersection of violence and health at different stages of a person's life.

We would welcome submissions for presentations, posters, panel discussions and workshops, but we are flexible in terms of format and are open to your ideas.

  • Your submission must relate to violence and health. Topics may include health impacts of violence, public health approaches to violence reduction, violence reduction programmes in healthcare settings, or wider health benefits of violence reduction work.
  • We would be especially interested in submissions that link to any of the four key topics of this year's symposium:
    • Maternity and early years
    • Primary school
    • Adolescence and young adulthood
    • Adults over 25
  • We would encourage inclusion of community and user voice where possible.

The NHS Violence Reduction Team will review all submissions as we receive them.
